One of our favourite plant bios from our new outdoor lookbook was that of the Savoy Cabbage. Cabbages come in many different varieties, with a little planning it is possible to pick them fresh nearly every day of the year. Savoy cabbages can be grown throughout the UK in a range of soils, they are among the most frost hardy in the cabbage family making them available from July through to March. Best grown on a sunny site with firm soil, be sure to give your growing cabbages a thorough soak every 10 days. In mind of Mr McGregor, we have the perfect piece to protect your cabbages, our Belton wire cloches have extended feet to penetrate the ground keeping birds, rabbits and squirrels out as they are anchored into position: http://bit.ly/Rii095
Having grown your own Savoy cabbage you may need a tasty recipe to enjoy it, we strongly recommend Nigella’s Savoy Cabbage with Garlic Cream: http://bit.ly/1hBaQ9O - Enjoy!

All in the line of work….We never like to recommend a recipe without having trialled it first, therefore purely for your benefit we have thoroughly tried and tested our Moscow Mule recipe featured in our garden look book. After much testing (and then some more) we can conclude that it is indeed delicious, the perfect drink for summer as it’s cool and refreshing. We were amazed at how much cooler the cocktail was when served from our beautiful copper mugs compared to a glass, finishing the cocktail perfectly: http://bit.ly/1eqU51v

It’s been a little while since we did a colour post, we’ve done a few now on this particular shade but it is still so tempting to us, plus we keep finding beautiful new palettes incorporating it. Whether you choose to use Blush Pink alone or as seen here with muted greys and pops of colour, it makes a wonderful palette for any interior, classic or contemporary. When teamed with off-whites in its palest form it creates the most delicate of duos ideal for upholstery or linens, our next room update will definitely be incorporating this wonderful colour.

A marker in the making: We were thrilled to receive these images from the maker or our new plant markers, Geoff Fisher. They have been lovingly made from natural wood wastage produced when a tree needs to be cut back or comes to the end of its life. Each and everyone is completely unique as they are all made from Hazel making them incredibly strong, the Hazel is collected in Buckinghamshire where they are also all individually hand finished.
Organise your herbs and plants in perfect organic style, each marker has a carved tip to label your plants exactly how you wish. Use them in miniature herb gardens in your kitchen or within your vegetable patch to mark your parsnips from your potatoes. The perfect gift for any green fingered mums this mothers day : http://bit.ly/1nGLvzq

A working kitchen: For us it’s the most important room in the house, and at the same time the trickiest to perfect from both a functional and aesthetic point of view. Generally when designing a kitchen there have to be compromises on either front, however we’ve learnt (the hard way) that something you should never compromise on within a kitchen is storage. We’re always on the look out for beautiful alternatives to storage some of which we’ve featured here, whether it be a glass fronted cabinet, salvaged wood shelves or a storage wall to perfectly house all your kitchen elements, storage can be beautiful as well as useful.

Currently Coveting: As we start to get a tiny taste of spring outdoors our March lust list is given a fresh spring palette. We love the mixture of creamy pastels teamed with bright accents all set off on a neutral backdrop, making all of the featured products irresistible. The arrow feather scarf from Nuno (featured in the center) is at the top of our list with its monochrome base accented with beautiful coloured stripes. Equally Amanda Dziedzic Glass cloches (bottom left) have caught our eye, such lovely glass tones, we want all four!

Our new collection is very nearly ready for launch, therefore it’s time for our third and final post to introduce it. Entitled ‘The Potting Shed’ here you’ll see the potting house that we dream of, a rustic haven that you can retreat to for aptly potting around. Weathered terracotta and worn woods team perfectly with fresh sapling greens, a palette that we have adopted within our own collection. We can’t wait to share it with you in its entirety, not long now……
